Before 35 weeks you have the option of lying face down with your belly cushioned on a belly pillow, and then turning over and lying in an elevated supine position so you are not flat on your back. If you prefer, you have the option of a side-lying massage (this is the position for all clients after 35 weeks). All positions can include lots of pillows to make sure you are comfy and not compressing the vena cava.
