Massage

You might be familiar with massage, and know it when you feel it! What you feel is the way that physical massage targets and treats tension, injury, and discomfort in the body. While more research is developing, the established benefits of massage therapy are many. Massage improves circulation of the blood, oxygenating the muscles. Muscles fibres become softer and more pliable, massage can also bring calm to the mind, feeling connected to your emotions, and nervous system down-regulation.

I am a trained relaxation massage therapist, and I am currently completing my remedial massage training. This means that I am able to adapt my touch depending on your preference for a soothing relaxation massage or a deep tissue massage, or a mix of both.

Each session begins with a consultation about the areas you would like to focus on, and any health considerations. My approach is trauma-informed, and communication is welcome with me at any time.

Your therapeutic massage treatment finishes with meditative stillness to deeply calm your nervous system, leaving you feeling revitalised and refreshed.

Cuddle Therapy

Cuddle therapy is a recent term for something humans have been good at for a long time: cuddles! Cuddles help us relax, slow down, be aware of our bodies and feel connected. In cuddle therapy we share touch with the consent and choice of both parties.

So, what happens? Sessions are held at my home practice in Pascoe Vale. Come in, take your shoes off, and I offer you water. We settle on a couch or a (very comfy!) memory foam ‘mellow mat’ with pillows on the floor. We chat about the boundaries: the yes, no and maybe.

I talk us through a process of sensing into our own bodies, emotions and mind, and then bring our attention to the presence of the other person. I offer simple touch to somewhere that feels safe, such as the outer arm or upper back. I talk you through staying present with the experience. You can close your eyes or have them open: in fact, we can try sustained eye-gazing.

Cuddle therapy is all about mutual consent. You can choose to stop, change, or make a request at any time. In fact, it can be a great place to practice communicating about consent.

Please note, for talk therapy, please seek a counsellor or psychotherapist. You can get a GP referral to some free sessions of counselling with a mental health care plan.

All sessions are therapeutic only. No sexual services are provided. Any request for sexual services or sexual behavior results in police being called immediately. The session is terminated with the full amount payable.
