Massage targets and treats tension and injury in the soft tissues of the body. It improves the circulation of the blood to better oxygenate the muscles. The muscle fibres themselves soften and become more pliable.

Massage can also calm the mind, help you connect to your emotions, and down-regulate your nervous system into the parasympathetic state (that is, move you out of the activated, fight-or-flight sympathetic state).

In a Soul Glow massage, I adapt the treatment depending on your preference for a relaxation massage to reduce stress and increase an experience of peace, or a deep tissue, remedial massage to target muscular-skeletal concerns. Or, we can do a mix of both! I am also trained in pregnancy massage, so pregnant clients are most welcome.

Each session begins with a quick consultation about the areas you would like to focus on, any health considerations, and your preferred massage. Once comfortable on the table, I ensure your body is draped and warm at all times, except the part I am massaging.

I give verbal guidance at the beginning of the treatment to help you sink into sensing your body and breath, which acts as a point of focus that you can return your focus to at any time.

Moving into a non-verbal silence allows us to sink into the sensory experience. Nevertheless, please know that your communication about the pressure and how things feel is welcome with me at any time.

Your therapeutic Soul Glow massage finishes with me verbally guiding you to become aware of your body in the room and sense a meditative stillness, leaving you revitalised and refreshed.
